Almost... Just Almost....

So this week I've/We've been putting the finishing touches to the paper titled "A Multilevel Force-Directed Graph Drawing Algorithm using Multilevel Global Force Approximation", and by golly its been fun. I have found I very much prefer writing smaller papers instead of the monolith of a technical report that's hiding away behind me, but alas, I think I have mentioned this before.

So... thankfully the deadline for the paper has been extended to the 21st March (not that I want to wait but better to be safe than sorry) which gives us a little more time to add or remove and make any edits that are required. Unfortunately, my PhD seminar is next week (7th March) so I have yet another thing to worry about.

All in all though, its been a relatively stable week. Major changes to the paper have been completed and I have more to make by tomorrow, and also a new presentation for next week. Should make for an interesting Friday.

Now that I'm bored with the seriousness, here is some images...

10x10x10 grid drawn in 3D, top two are the MGF (my application, formerly CA)
bottom are the OT drawings, shown from two angles

fe_sphere with MGF on the left, OT on the right showing some flattening from the octree structure

An interesting image of add32 drawn using the OT
Mesh100 drawn using the MGF algorithm, very similar to that drawing by Walshaw
