Back to Reality

Jury Service is finally over! 2 weeks was a bit longer than I had hoped, but I'm thankful I was not called back for a third.

So some news over the past weeks:
  • IV2012 Conference Paper submitted - I am very happy with the finished paper but concerned the conference may not appreciate it due to the topic (graph drawing algorithms are quite a small part of data visualisation, especially where other more graphical works take proprity) but we'll see
  • RDA4 submitted - catching up on my previous RDA4 (annual update form) gave me an idea of where I'm supposed to be - which fortunately looks to be only a little behind (due to my work on Multilevel Global Forces)
  • RDA1 was rejected - an unhappy bit of news to hear when I am away from work, which pushes my PhD transfer back (cant transfer without having my research approved). Fortunately a revised copy was completed and sent off, so we can only hope for good news.
  • I return to work on the same day as coursework is due - someone somewhere is playing cruel games with me
Thats about all the news I can remember from the past few weeks. As for my current plans, getting my Technical Report for MGF is priority (also marking), which will be this week. After which, I can concentrate on the dynamic work.

Additionally, when the decision on my RDA1 form has come through, I will be completing the relevant online exams, writing the necessary progress report and arranging for my MPhil/PhD transfer.

That's all for now folks, Sayonara!
